Basis: Communication: Methodology (Phasing): Follow-up measurements: Typically when elevated radon levels are found in a large building, it is a concern in only a small percentage of locations (<10%). Long-term measurement devices are then placed to determine exposure over longer periods of time and real-time conditions. Recommendations are typically made on the basis of these long-term measurements. Advanced measurements: At times, the use of continuous radon or working level monitors can better characterize the actual health risk of radon exposure in a building that is only occupied a portion of the time. HVAC systems that only operate during working hours can greatly affect the actual exposure of employees. CVC uses real time monitors to insure that remediation is needed and applied in the most cost-effective manner. To see an example of this go to Case Study. Final Report: CVC has also developed survey plans for implementation by the client's maintenance personnel. This has been very effective for tribal organizations and school district staff.
